Shilla Duty Free Launches 'Shilla & Basic', a Paid Membership with Continuous Enrollment

Joining Fee 300,000 KRW with Points Worth Over 360,000 KRW Provided

Shilla Duty Free announced on the 22nd that it is launching a paid membership called 'SHILLA & BASIC (Shilla & Basic)' which allows continuous enrollment, and has started recruiting members. The Shilla & Basic membership period is 6 months from the date of enrollment, and by purchasing the paid membership for 300,000 KRW, members receive points worth over 360,000 KRW, a Gold Plus membership tier, and various enrollment gifts.

Membership benefits include 250,000 S Rewards points (equivalent to 250 USD or approximately 320,000 KRW) that can be used immediately at offline stores, plus an additional 30,000 points (30 USD or approximately 40,000 KRW) usable by category at the Incheon Airport branch. For the Seoul branch exclusively, 220,000 points (220 USD or approximately 280,000 KRW) are provided based on purchase amounts. Additionally, enrolled customers are immediately upgraded to the Gold Plus membership tier, allowing up to 20% discount online and up to 15% discount offline. Furthermore, members receive one 5,000 KRW voucher each month for six months to use at 'CAF? LA (Cafe La)', which opened this year at the Seoul branch.

Previously, Shilla Duty Free launched the industry's first paid membership 'SHILLA & (Shilla &)' in July last year to secure loyal customers. Since then, it has introduced specialized memberships such as the Amorepacific membership and a membership exclusively for customers in their 20s, attracting a total of around 800 customers. Shilla Duty Free explained that considering this popularity, they decided to newly launch the Shilla & Basic membership. Lee Ju-young, Head of Global Marketing Group at Shilla Duty Free, stated, "We plan to continue developing and expanding various specialized paid memberships."
