New Season of Championship Finals Starts January 18 Next Year
Samhwa Motors has renewed its contract with Yu Hae-ran, the Rookie of the Year on this year’s U.S. Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour.
Yu Hae-ran’s management company, SEMASports Marketing, announced on the 21st that "Samhwa Motors has decided to continue supporting Yu Hae-ran next year as well." The sponsorship signing ceremony was held on the 20th at the Samhwa Motors Ford & Lincoln showroom in Cheonan, Chungnam. Samhwa Motors, the Ford and Lincoln car dealer in the Chungcheong region, has been providing Yu Hae-ran with a Lincoln Navigator since 2020.
CEO Park Jong-min said, "Yu Hae-ran’s bold playing style matches well with the strong image of Ford & Lincoln. We will actively support her so that she can demonstrate her best skills next year as well." Yu Hae-ran responded, "I sincerely thank Samhwa Motors for their generous interest and sponsorship. I will do my best to perform at the highest level on the LPGA Tour."
Yu Hae-ran, who was the Rookie of the Year on the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour in 2020, made her LPGA Tour debut this year. She claimed her first victory at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship last October, becoming Rookie of the Year in the U.S. as well. She is the first Korean player to earn the Rookie of the Year title in four years since Lee Jeong-eun 6 in 2019. Yu Hae-ran will start the new season at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions held in Florida, U.S., on January 18 next year.
