The Single-Use Products Zero Challenge is a nationwide campaign led by the Ministry of Environment to promote environmental protection and carbon neutrality. It carries a message encouraging the reduction of single-use product consumption and active participation in using reusable products. Political figures and leaders from various sectors are leading by example, fostering a social consensus on reducing single-use product usage.
After being nominated by Park Kwang-ho, CEO of Fursys, CEO Lee Won-jik shared time with employees to discuss ways to practice "Zero Waste" in daily life. To encourage more people to participate in eco-friendly activities, he also posted certification photos of the campaign participation on Lotte Biologics’ official SNS. Lee nominated Kim Kyung-jin, CEO of ST Pharm, Kim Hye-joo, CEO of Lotte Members, and Ahn Jae-yong, CEO of SK Bioscience, as the next participants in the relay campaign.
Lotte Biologics is taking the lead in fostering an eco-friendly culture within the company by promoting ▲the use of reusable tumblers ▲utilization of eco-bags ▲implementation of a paperless system ▲and refraining from using single-use straws.
CEO Lee Won-jik said, “I am pleased to participate in this meaningful eco-friendly campaign amid the growing global interest in carbon neutrality,” adding, “The eco-friendly culture established within the company through this campaign will greatly help in establishing eco-friendly policies during the future establishment phase of domestic bio plants.”
