On the 19th, a poster related to former leader Lee’s new party formation rapidly spread on online communities and social networking services (SNS). The poster features photos of famous entertainers such as former President Moon Jae-in, IU, BTS, NewJeans, BLACKPINK, Yoo Jae-suk, Lim Young-woong, as well as athletes like Son Heung-min and Kim Yuna, seemingly 'supporting' Lee’s new party.

The poster also includes phrases such as "Lee Nak-yeon will change the two-party system," "The people want Lee Nak-yeon’s new party," "Yes! If the people want it, we will create it," and "A new Democratic Party, a Democratic Party without Lee Jae-myung."

At the bottom of the poster, the logo of the pro-Lee faction group 'Minjujui Silcheon Haengdong' (Democracy Practice Action) is centered, flanked by the logos of the Democratic Party’s non-mainstream lawmakers’ group 'Wonchikgwa Sang-sik' (Principles and Common Sense) and phrases representing former President Moon’s supporters such as 'Munkkul Osori' and 'Munpa.'

With it obvious that the poster is fake and uses photos of famous people without permission, netizens suspect "someone created it with malicious intent." The pro-Lee faction is pointing to supporters of Lee Jae-myung as behind the poster, escalating the conflict.

Minjujui Silcheon Haengdong stated via SNS, "We have not published such a web poster," and claimed, "This web poster is false manipulated information spread by a user on X (formerly Twitter) presumed to be a Lee Jae-myung supporter."

They added, "This user has repeatedly produced false manipulated information by impersonating supporters of former President Moon Jae-in or former leader Lee Nak-yeon," and pointed out, "The pattern of spreading this among political figures outside the National Assembly who support Lee Jae-myung and YouTubers is recurring."

On the 17th, former leader Lee announced the formation of a new party early in the new year, saying, "If the Democratic Party does not show a willingness for groundbreaking change, I will not stop." In response, more than 100 current Democratic Party lawmakers signed a 'petition to halt the new party push,' expressing opposition.

The pro-Lee Jae-myung faction’s outside organization, The Minju National Innovation Council, criticized Lee’s move on the 18th, saying, "He is tarnishing his own history and the name of the Democratic Party with vain political ambition, causing deep wounds to seniors, juniors, and comrades."

Adjusting his pace, Lee said on the same day, "If there is a groundbreaking change even now, I am willing to have dialogue with the Democratic Party and discuss various matters together."
