LG Electronics announced on the 19th that it will launch its 2024 model soundbars.
The new LG soundbar products feature expanded TV-linked functions such as simultaneous use of speakers for customers who want to enjoy immersive sound that matches the ultra-large TV screen. Additionally, they have enhanced rich immersive sound based on artificial intelligence (AI).

The flagship model, S95TR, can connect wirelessly with LG Electronics' premium TVs such as OLED and QNED, allowing users to enjoy vivid immersive sound without any degradation in audio quality. It supports immersive sound technologies like Dolby ATMOS and DTS:X, as well as HDMI eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), which plays high-quality audio sources without loss.
This product consists of the main unit, a subwoofer that produces bass, and rear speakers that deliver immersive sound, supporting the highest number of channels among LG soundbars with 15 channels (9.1.5). The maximum output is 810 watts (W).
The 'WOW Orchestra' feature, which simultaneously utilizes the TV speakers and the soundbar speakers, makes the sound even richer. It also converts 2-channel audio, such as news and dramas, into immersive sound using the soundbar main unit, subwoofer, and rear speakers.
Additionally, based on AI, it implements optimal sound effects tailored to the content genre and analyzes the indoor spatial structure to utilize all the soundbar speakers, filling not only the front of each speaker but also the surrounding space with sound. It also detects the position of the rear speakers and corrects the sound to enjoy distortion-free audio.
Among the three up-firing speakers installed in the main unit, the center speaker sends sound upward from the soundbar installed just below the TV, making it naturally sound as if it is coming from the center of the TV screen.
LG Electronics will also introduce two new soundbar models (SG10TY, S70TY) that harmonize perfectly with OLED and QNED TVs as if they were a single product.
LG Electronics plans to unveil the new soundbar products for the first time at CES 2024, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, held next month in Las Vegas, USA.
