Learning Scientific Principles Through Hands-On Experiments and Creation
Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Head: So You-seop) held the 'Atom Engineering Classroom' at Myeongsan Elementary School on the 18th to easily convey scientific principles and satisfy curiosity about science and technology.
The Atom Engineering Classroom, held for 3rd and 4th graders at Myeongsan Elementary School, is a representative knowledge donation social contribution activity conducted by Saewool Headquarters. It is a future science talent development program that fosters scientific imagination and creativity through hands-on practice using various science kits.
On this day, the Atom Engineering Classroom was conducted as an experiential learning session where students understood the operating principles of computers using sensors and assembled robots themselves. In particular, Moon Ji-hoon, chairman of the Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters Labor Union, and branch chairpersons participated as one-day teachers, adding significance through talent donation.
Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to hold the Atom Engineering Classroom for elementary students at Seongdong Elementary School, a nearby local school, as well.
