According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system at 11:15 a.m. on the 18th, 'Seoul's Spring' (directed by Kim Seong-su) recorded a cumulative audience of 9,000,185.
This speed surpasses the 9 million viewer milestone of past 10 million-grossing films such as 'Avatar: The Way of Water' (2022) on its 30th day, 'Masquerade' (2012) on its 31st day, and 'The King and the Clown' (2005) on its 50th day.
Released on the 22nd of last month, 'Seoul's Spring' depicts the tense 9 hours aimed at preventing the military coup by the new military forces in the capital Seoul on December 12, 1979. It is inspired by the December 12 military coup.
