Goal of Establishing 'Yeongdeok Tourism' Governance
The Gyeongbuk Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation will hold the 1st Tourism Forum, "Yeongdeok Tourism Salon," at 7 p.m. on the 20th at the ‘3·18 Culture Salon’ inside Yeonghae Manse Market.
"Yeongdeok Tourism Salon" was planned to bring together local residents, tourism industry professionals, and tourism academics to share their opinions and communicate for the development of Yeongdeok tourism. Based on this gathering, the goal is to establish governance that will become the core driving force of Yeongdeok tourism and to launch a Destination Management Organization (DMO) for regional tourism promotion.
On the day of the tourism forum, the foundation will present current issues in Yeongdeok tourism, examine the current status and potential of local tourism, and explore directions for revitalizing tourism. They will also explain the project to support the development of the regional tourism promotion organization (DMO) and discuss participation and promotion strategies. Afterwards, there will be a time for open discussion with local residents who have a strong interest in Yeongdeok tourism.
The person in charge of preparing the event, "Yeongdeok Tourism Salon," also expressed great aspirations. “It is highly significant that the foundation is hosting the tourism forum for the first time,” they said. “For the revitalization of Yeongdeok tourism, every single opinion from local residents is truly valuable. We hope that this first meeting will serve as a stepping stone to establish a tourism network governance and realize common goals.”
Participation in the 1st "Yeongdeok Tourism Salon," where frank opinions will be exchanged, is limited to the first 20 applicants and will be open for registration until the 19th. Those who wish to participate can apply through the official website of the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation or contact the Tourism Marketing Team.
