Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, received the Grand Prize at the ‘2023 Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project City and County Performance Evaluation’ hosted by Gyeongbuk Province, held in Gyeongju on December 15. In this evaluation conducted by Gyeongbuk Province targeting 22 cities and counties (excluding Ulleung-gun), Goryeong-gun won the Grand Prize, Gyeongju-si and Seongju-gun received the Excellence Award, and Pohang-si, Gumi-si, and Chilgok-gun were awarded the Encouragement Prize.
Goryeong-gun, which received the Grand Prize in the '2023 Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project City and County Performance Evaluation'.
This evaluation was based on quantitative indicators such as budget execution rate and field inspection compliance rate from October 2022 to September 2023, as well as qualitative evaluation criteria based on performance reports. Goryeong-gun received the highest score among the 22 cities and counties, earning the Grand Prize.
The Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project in Goryeong-gun implements services targeting children, adolescents, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, including FunFun Study, Child and Youth Vision Formation Support Service, Youth Mental Health Support Service, and Massage Service for the Visually Impaired. Additionally, through selection in a Ministry of Health and Welfare public contest, a new project, Daily Care Service, began in October, receiving great response from middle-aged individuals in need of care who were previously in care blind spots.
County Governor Lee Nam-cheol said, “I am pleased to receive the Grand Prize through passion and effort dedicated to the Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project. Taking this award as an opportunity, we will work even harder to develop Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Projects that meet the needs of the residents of Goryeong-gun.”
