470 Parking Spaces Near Former Public Institution
Construction Starts March Next Year, Completion Targeted for June
Ulsan City will utilize long-unused land within the Innovation City as a temporary parking lot.
The project to create temporary parking lots on unused idle land aims to secure parking spaces lacking in Innovation City, alleviate inconveniences for pedestrians and passing vehicles caused by illegal parking on side streets, and provide convenience to relocated public institutions, companies, and residents.
The temporary parking lot will be developed on 12,000㎡ of city-owned land (public office site) in the Gyodong area of Jung-gu, through land leveling, installation of security lights and fences, and gravel paving, creating a total of 470 parking spaces.
After completing the detailed design service by March next year, construction will begin, with completion scheduled for June next year. The temporary parking lot will operate temporarily until construction work for building offices or other projects begins on the idle land.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “By creating temporary parking lots on idle land where no building plans have been established, the parking shortage in Innovation City will be somewhat alleviated, living conditions improved, and this will help revitalize Innovation City.”
