Suzy Hanbok Photoshoot Decorates Christmas Billboard in New York Times Square

Actress Suzy's hanbok photo shoot will adorn the electronic billboards in Times Square, New York, on Christmas Eve.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 15th that the video of Suzy's hanbok photo shoot, produced through the hanbok promotion project, will be displayed on the electronic billboards on Broadway in Times Square, New York, from 6 a.m. on the 24th (local time) until 2 a.m. on the 25th.

The ministry is promoting the "Planning and Development of Collaborative Content Linking Hallyu with Hanbok" project, aiming to expand the scope of Hallyu to traditional culture by designing hanbok through collaboration between hanbok SMEs and Hallyu cultural artists. Last year, former figure skater Kim Yuna participated in the project.

This year, six SMEs developed hanbok products featuring Suzy as the model. The designs maintain traditional elements of hanbok while incorporating modern trends and sensibilities.

Suzy's hanbok photo shoot will first be featured in the January issue of a famous fashion magazine on the 20th. It will also be released on the Korea Craft & Design Foundation's YouTube channel starting from the 26th.

The hanbok developed this year will also be showcased at the Newtro Festival in February next year and the Hanbok Culture Week event in October.
