Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 15th that it held the 1st Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo Festival Evaluation Report Meeting in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the Agricultural Technology Center.
About 35 people attended the evaluation report meeting, including County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol, senior officials, Chairman Jo Samsul, and Kim Yong-wook, president of the Hapcheon Livestock Cooperative.
Kim Yong-jun, head of the Livestock Division, presented the results of the 1st Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo Festival held from October 13 to October 15, and the attendees had a discussion session sharing various opinions such as the positive effects of the festival and areas for improvement.
The 1st Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo Festival, held for the first time this year, attracted about 30,000 tourists over three days. The Hanwoo charcoal grill area was bustling with many people until late at night, lighting up the lawn square of the County Sports Park.
Although the 1st festival ended successfully, Hapcheon-gun and the Hapcheon Livestock Cooperative plan to work hard to develop the Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo Festival further by addressing challenges such as establishing meat supply measures to meet high demand and expanding promotional and experiential facilities related to Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo.
Chairman Kim said, “Although the 1st Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo Festival concluded with successful results, we cannot be satisfied,” adding, “We will actively review and improve the areas that need enhancement to make the Hapcheon Hwangto Hanwoo Festival stand tall as the best Hanwoo festival in Korea.”
