Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency's Immersive Content Specialist Training Capacity Building Education 'Successful'

The Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 14th that it has successfully completed the '2023 Immersive Content Professional Training and Employee Capacity Building Education.'


The training was designed to foster new content developers in the Jeonnam region to revitalize Jeonnam's content-specialized industries, while simultaneously enhancing the capabilities of existing content developers in the area.


The training program ran for a total of three months from September to November in Suncheon, Mokpo, and Naju, offering courses such as the Unity Certified Associate Game Developer international certification, basic and advanced Unity game development courses, employee skill-up sessions, and expert lectures.

In particular, a business agreement was signed with Unity Technologies Korea to strengthen the professionalism of graduates through a systematic curriculum that included administering the international certification exam, expert lectures, and dispatching certified instructors.


As a result, 37 participants completed the Unity game developer international certification course, with 32 obtaining the certification.


Thirty-five participants completed the basic and advanced Unity game development courses.


Additionally, 40 employees from local content development companies completed the employee job competency enhancement training, and 63 people attended expert lectures held with professionals in the content development field.


Through this project, various workforce development programs and employee job competency enhancement initiatives were simultaneously carried out across multiple regions, providing satisfaction to content development companies and job seekers alike. Among 48 job seekers hoping for employment, 22 have currently secured jobs, marking a significant achievement.


Lee In-yong, Director of the Promotion Agency, said, “We are pleased that this has become an opportunity to secure the lacking development workforce in the regional content industry and to enhance the capabilities of current developers.” He added, “We will continue to promote workforce supply projects and initiatives to improve job competencies to help the content industry in the Jeonnam region develop further.”
