BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seong-bin) has launched a project to repair homes with poor living conditions. The project involves repairing wallpaper, flooring, lighting, and more.
On the morning of the 14th, Busan Bank announced that it held a kickoff ceremony for the ‘Saha-gu Love House Repair Project’ at the Saha-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, together with Busan Transportation Corporation and the Busan Community Chest of Korea.
About 50 residents of Saha-gu attended the ceremony, including Bang Seong-bin, President of Busan Bank; Lee Byeong-jin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation; Lee Gap-jun, Mayor of Saha-gu; Choi Geum-sik, Chairman of the Busan Community Chest of Korea; and Kim Bo-su, Director of the Saha-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
The ‘Love House Repair Project,’ which began in Sasang-gu last June and has continued since, is a public-private collaborative initiative aimed at improving the residential welfare of local residents.
Busan Bank supports the purchase costs of LED lights, wallpaper, flooring, and more for a total of 20 places, including 15 households in Saha with low-income or near-poverty status and 5 senior leisure welfare facilities.
At the kickoff ceremony, Bang Seong-bin, President of Busan Bank, said, “A home is a precious sanctuary and a space of happiness for us, and I hope this project will make life a little richer.”
President Bang added, “Busan Bank will continue to collaborate with various organizations to practice greater sharing and carry on social contribution projects for the local community.”
Since establishing the first dedicated social contribution organization among domestic financial institutions in 2003, Busan Bank has been actively engaged in social contribution activities across various fields. In particular, it has designated the third Saturday of every month as ‘Local Volunteer Day’ and continues volunteer activities by visiting places in need across Busan’s 16 districts and counties.
