On the 13th, at the donation ceremony held at the Community Chest of Korea headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, the couple Bae Dongsung and Jeon Jinju, along with Hwang Insik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, and staff members participated together.
Last December, the couple also donated 10 million won to the Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign to celebrate reaching 100,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel ‘Jeongbap TV,’ registering as couple sharing leaders who donate more than 1 million won annually. This donation will be used for support projects for vulnerable groups.
Mr. Bae said, “When we joined the sharing leaders last year, I promised to donate again this year with my wife, and I am glad to keep that promise. Going forward, we aim to become couple members of the Honor Society, high-value donors contributing over 100 million won, and through continuous donations, we will contribute to spreading the culture of sharing.” Ms. Jeon also said, “I feel proud and grateful to be able to donate again this year following last year. I hope it will be a warm year-end for neighbors in need.”
Hwang Insik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, said, “We sincerely thank the couple Bae Dongsung and Jeon Jinju for their efforts to spread positive influence again this year. The Community Chest of Korea will also work harder to support vulnerable groups during the year-end and New Year season.”
Meanwhile, on the 1st, the Community Chest of Korea erected the symbolic ‘Love Thermometer’ of the campaign at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul and launched the year-end and New Year intensive fundraising campaign ‘Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign.’ With the slogan ‘Make myself valuable through donation, make the world valuable through donation,’ the campaign will be conducted for 62 days until the 31st of next month across 17 city and provincial branches nationwide. This year’s sharing goal is 434.9 billion won, and the Love Thermometer rises by 1 degree each time 1% of the target amount is collected, reaching 100 degrees when the goal is fully achieved. As of the 13th, the Love Thermometer’s sharing temperature is 34.0 degrees.
