A man armed with a weapon is holding a hostage and confronting the police in an apartment in Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Sacheon Police Station on the 11th, at around 1:57 PM, a report was received that a man was wielding a weapon at a woman on the 6th floor of an apartment in Sacheon-eup, Sacheon-si.
The police who arrived on the scene have been in a standoff with the man holding the woman hostage for over three hours.
The female victim is reported to be in no life-threatening condition.
Firefighters who also responded are preparing for any emergency by installing safety equipment on the first floor of the apartment.
