Incheon Airport Corporation Receives Highest Grade from International Civil Aviation Organization Training Institute

ICAO Platinum Achievement

Incheon International Airport Corporation Talent Development Center announced on the 11th that it has obtained the highest grade, 'Platinum,' in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Aviation Training Organization Certification System. ICAO is an intergovernmental specialized agency under the United Nations (UN) that operates an international aviation training organization certification program, selecting and accrediting top-level educational institutions in the aviation sector.

The ICAO certification grades are divided into four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Grades are assigned based on the evaluation of each institution's educational operations, curriculum development, and expert training performance.

The Corporation's Talent Development Center has maintained the highest level under the previous grading system, the 'Regional Aviation Training Center' grade, since 2011. In response to ICAO's introduction of a new grading system, it has been systematically preparing since last year by strengthening its educational capabilities and discovering new educational demands. As a result, it achieved educational performance exceeding the criteria for Platinum.

The Corporation expects that achieving this highest grade will greatly help expand collaboration with ICAO and leading overseas aviation training institutions and create new aviation training demands.

Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, said, “Achieving the highest grade once again proves that the Corporation's Talent Development Center is a world-class aviation training institution. Moving forward, we will strengthen educational cooperation with international organizations and overseas airports and expand educational programs for developing countries to continuously contribute to the development of the global aviation industry.”
