Kim Jun-young, CEO of KCMT, an eco-friendly rebar substitute production company, announced on the 11th that he donated 5 million won, the highest individual limit for hometown love donations in Ulju-gun, for regional development.

At the donation event, Kim Jun-young, CEO of KCMT, Vice President Lee Gyu-jae, Head of Technology Management Division Baek Bong-gi, Head of Management Support Division Lim Hyun-jin, Ulju-gun Governor Lee Soon-geol, Director of Administrative and Cultural Affairs Park Jin-young, Tax Section 1 Manager Seo Cheon-cheon, and Tax Team Leader Jeong Jun-sik attended together to express their warm hearts for the Hometown Love Donation System.

In 2022, KCMT completed a factory in the Ulju-gun Energy Convergence General Industrial Complex, a new foothold, and is producing KEco, an eco-friendly rebar substitute. This product is the world’s first eco-friendly rebar reinforcement made by recycling waste PET bottles, removing the harmful chemical substance ‘Styrene Monomer (SM),’ which is fatal to the human body even in small amounts of leakage.

KCMT is moving forward on the path of coexistence toward everyone's safety and sustainability. In December last year, they visited Ulsan Fruit of Love and donated cash to be used as in-kind donations for children’s centers, welfare centers, and disability associations in the Ulsan area. This year, they plan to donate more than 50 million won worth of women’s gift pouch sets in kind to vulnerable groups in Gijang-gun and Ulju-gun. They are steadily promoting social contribution activities to spread the value of sharing for regional development and coexistence.

Kim Jun-young, CEO of KCMT, said, “The Hometown Love Donation System, which is being used to revitalize the local community with the mindset that ‘the development of the local community is the growth of the company,’ is a system of mutual coexistence. I hope more people will participate in donations, and we will fulfill our corporate social responsibility through continuous social contribution activities in the local community.”
