Closing of the 2nd Regular Session of the 290th Muan County Council

Listening to Military Information Report, Handling Agenda Including 2024 Revenue and Expenditure Budget Proposal

The Muan County Council of Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) concluded the 2nd regular session, which was held for 25 days from the 17th of last month, with the 9th plenary session on the 11th.

According to the county council on the 11th, during this regular session, a total of 20 agenda items (17 original, 2 revised, and 1 other) were finally processed, including listening to the county report and the 2024 main budget revenue and expenditure.

The Budget and Accounts Special Committee (Chairman Councilor Kim Won-jung) conducted an in-depth review of the 600.14 billion KRW budget proposal submitted by the executive branch and presented a revised budget of 599.258 billion KRW, after cutting 846 million KRW, to the plenary session for final approval.

Additionally, there were 5-minute free speeches on the topics of △ urging the reorganization of the Agricultural Technology Center in preparation for the operation of the Advanced Agricultural Complex (Councilor Lim Yoon-taek) and △ suggestions for the creation of barefoot trails and the promotion of barefoot walking in Muan County (Councilor Jung Eun-kyung).

Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank my fellow councilors and the executive officials who did their best during the regular session,” and urged, “Now that the ordinance supporting the promotion of barefoot walking in Muan County has been enacted, please actively reflect the diverse opinions of the residents in county administration and carry it out steadily.”

Meanwhile, the Muan County Council plans to open the 291st extraordinary session on the 14th to handle 12 agenda items (4 proposed by councilors, 8 submitted by the executive branch), including the 3rd supplementary budget proposal, and conclude the last session of this year.
