Kim Byung-min: "Kim Ki-hyun Must Show 'Sacrifice' in Voice... This Week is the Golden Time"

"Must show actions like not running in the general election and running in the metropolitan area"

Kim Byung-min, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, said regarding the 'sacrifice recommendation' proposed by the In-Yohan Innovation Committee, "We need to show the public how we confirmed the willingness to sacrifice through Representative Kim's own words and what kind of leadership will lead the party."

On the 11th, Kim appeared on SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' and said, "The Innovation Committee is demanding answers on whether Representative Kim will run in Ulsan, his electoral district, or in the metropolitan area, or whether he will not run in the general election, based on the keyword 'sacrifice.' I believe this week is the golden time to respond."

He emphasized, "Before launching the Public Recommendation Committee or the Election Countermeasures Committee centered on Representative Kim, the leadership must take certain actions and efforts to gain the public's trust."

Regarding the party secretariat's report that the People Power Party is expected to win only six seats in Seoul, where the party has an advantage in next year's general election, Kim said, "This was a report that the leadership was not even informed about," adding, "As such information eventually leaked to the media, it made the metropolitan area situation much more difficult."

He continued, "If the report was made, it should have been reported and accompanied by countermeasures," and pointed out, "People would connect the dots and say, 'Only six seats in Seoul? That’s almost like a wartime situation. What was the leadership doing?'" He added, "I am confident that the situation is not as bad as winning only six seats in Seoul. However, it is also true that we must act with that level of urgency."

Kim said, "Such reports being leaked to the media without being reported internally creates a very chaotic and difficult situation. Since correcting where the problem started is a fundamental duty of the leadership, I will raise this issue more strongly at the Supreme Council meeting."
