Uiryeong-gun Produces Webtoon Featuring 'Gwak Jaewoo and An Heeje'

‘A Meeting Sent from Heaven’ Webtoon Released on KakaoPage

Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, produced a webtoon titled "A Meeting Sent from Heaven ? Gwak Jae-woo and An Hee-je," featuring Uiryeong’s militia leader Gwak Jae-woo and independence activist An Hee-je as protagonists, centered on the theme of the "spirit of patriotism" to protect the country, and released it on KakaoPage.

"A Meeting Sent from Heaven" depicts the story of An Hee-je traveling back in time 300 years to Joseon, meeting Gwak Jae-woo during the Imjin War, raising a militia, and fighting battles together, showing how the two great figures grow beyond time and space.

This webtoon was produced after Uiryeong-gun was selected for the "2023 Regional Specialized Content Development Support Project," jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency.
