The county proactively secured snow removal agents (calcium chloride, eco-friendly snow removal agents, sand, salt, etc.) and deployed 8,500 bags of ice-melting agents to 17 vulnerable sections, including habitual freezing zones. In addition, pre-inspections were conducted on three brine spraying facilities (Jigyeongjae, Pinamujae, Baekjajae) and equipment to be used for snow removal operations (10 1-ton Porters, 1 2.5-ton truck, 4 15-ton dump trucks, 50 tractors, etc.), completing preparations for snow removal work.

Furthermore, upon issuance of a preliminary snowfall special warning, the county plans to establish a systematic and prompt response system in cooperation with related organizations, prioritizing snow removal operations on major roads and high-traffic sections such as mountain passes (curvy roads). In particular, it aims to take the lead in preventing traffic accidents caused by black ice during winter and achieve zero safety accidents.

County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “As heavy snowfall due to abnormal weather is expected this winter, please refrain from driving as much as possible during snowfall, and we will promote rapid road snow removal operations to minimize inconvenience to residents.”
