Only ONE! Jeon-guk Dan Hana! Skin Beauty Officer School
Students of the Medical Skin Beauty Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) achieved the remarkable feat of all participants winning awards at the ‘2023 Busan Mayor’s Cup Skin Beauty Skills Competition’ held on November 29.

This competition was held at BEXCO as part of the ‘2023 Busan Beauty Art Festival’ hosted by Busan City, with the purpose of discovering outstanding beauty talents. It was organized by the Busan Branch of the Korea Skin Beauty Association and the Korean branch of CIDESCO.
The participating students from the Medical Skin Beauty Department won awards across the board, including three Busan Mayor’s Awards, two National Assembly Member Awards, five Korea Skin Beauty Association Central Committee Chairman Awards, six Korea Skin Beauty Association Busan Branch Chairman Awards, seven Gold Awards, three Silver Awards, five Bronze Awards, and five Technique Awards.
Kim Su-hyun, a second-year student in the Medical Skin Beauty Department who received the Busan Mayor’s Award, said, “We work hard to obtain national certifications at school, and the diligent practice for acquiring process evaluation-type certifications led to this excellent result.” She added, “I take pride in studying in the only department of its kind nationwide and will strive even harder to become a figure who brings honor to both employment and the school.”
Jang Jeong-hyun, head of the Medical Skin Beauty Department, stated, “Skin beauty is a key profession in the wellness industry and life care sector, playing a role in securing national competitiveness as a leader in globalization.” He continued, “Based on accumulated educational infrastructure and expertise in human resource development, we will continue to strengthen our foundation as a specialized educational institution providing comprehensive professional skin beauty services in the anti-aging and medical tourism industries.”
Students in the Medical Skin Beauty Department receive practical guidance from field expert mentors through activities in the university’s start-up club ‘Skinix’ and the major club ‘Dongpijang’ from the time they enter the university. They also participate in various skin beauty competitions to cultivate practical skills through collaboration with peers.
