Samyang Corporation announced on the 11th the launch of new industrial water treatment materials: the 'Trilight Reverse Osmosis Membrane (RO)' and the 'Trilight EDI' electrolytic ion exchange device. These devices play a role in filtering impurities using high-performance filters and electricity during the production process of ultrapure water (extremely pure water with impurities removed and ion content close to 0%) for semiconductors, displays, and electrical and electronic products.

The Trilight Reverse Osmosis Membrane is characterized by excellent salt (sodium chloride) and organic matter removal performance, high permeate flow, and outstanding durability. It is a product specialized for brackish water, which contains less salt than seawater, and is tailored for industrial water manufacturing. The Trilight EDI is a device that continuously produces pure and ultrapure water using electricity, and as it does not use chemicals, it is an eco-friendly product with no wastewater discharge.
Following the ion exchange resin, Samyang Corporation has launched reverse osmosis membranes and electrolytic ion exchange devices, establishing core materials for ultrapure water production. Additionally, by adding reverse osmosis membrane and electrolytic ion exchange device design functions to its self-developed ion exchange resin design program 'Triangle,' the company has evolved into a comprehensive solution provider offering both materials and software.
Samyang Corporation recently established a dedicated organization within its chemical group responsible for water treatment business, the 'Water Solution PU (Performance Unit),' and is strategically nurturing it.
Jo Young-do, head of Samyang Corporation's Water Solution PU, stated, "The global water treatment market is continuously growing due to worsening water shortages caused by environmental pollution and increasing demand for ultrapure water driven by the growth of the semiconductor, display, and electrical and electronic industries." He added, "We will establish ourselves as a leading company in the global water treatment market by leveraging the differentiated technology and comprehensive solutions of our brand Trilight."
