Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam successfully held the '2023 Changwon City Family Harmony Festival' at the Changwon Women's Center, with the participation of over 150 citizens.
The event, held on the 8th, included a commemorative ceremony, family cultural experiences, family harmony events, and auxiliary experience activities.
In particular, during the commemorative ceremony, plaques of appreciation were awarded to 18 individuals across four categories?exemplary multicultural families, outstanding volunteers, activists, and workers?in recognition of their contributions to realizing healthy families and spreading family values.
Following this, to provide a space for interaction and communication among various families residing in Changwon, auxiliary experience activities such as family recreation, family cultural experiences (cake making), multicultural costume exhibitions, and family photo sessions were organized.
On the 9th, a family cake-making experience and an event to watch the Changwon LG Sakers basketball game at the Changwon Indoor Gymnasium were also held, receiving great responses from citizens.
Seo Hogwan, Director of the Welfare, Women, and Health Bureau, said, “I am honored to hold this occasion to commend the efforts of those who have led the realization of healthy families,” adding, “I especially hope this event becomes a venue for families to communicate and harmonize, and we will actively promote various policies to improve family relationships and strengthen family functions.”
