LG Electronics President Holds Communication Session to Wrap Up the Year
"I Want to Create an Organization Everyone Wants to Join and That Delivers High Performance"
Jo Joo-wan, President of LG Electronics, held the year-end ‘CEO F.U.N. Talk’ on the 7th at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, creating an enjoyable communication opportunity with employees.
President Jo cited the proclamation of the '2030 Future Vision' as one of the most memorable events of the year. Regarding why it was memorable, he said, "Because we were able to confidently announce the vision, created after intense deliberation, both internally and externally with concrete changes and strategies,” adding, “To keep our promises, we will embark on a bold challenge and an exciting journey together with you all.” The 2030 Future Vision outlines a transformation into a smart life solution company that connects and expands diverse experiences in all spaces where customers’ lives exist, beyond just home appliances.

He stated, “The H&A Business Division must secure execution capabilities for future readiness such as smart appliances, the HE Business Division must further accelerate platform business growth to become a media and entertainment company,” and emphasized, “The VS Business Division should secure response capabilities for SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle), one of the core trends in the mobility market, and the BS Business Division will strive to grow as a B2B specialized organization.”
As it was the last ‘CEO F.U.N. Talk’ of the year, the response from employees was enthusiastic. A record-breaking number of about 10,000 employees participated. When asked, “What kind of company do you want to create next year?” President Jo said, “I want to make it a company where everyone wants to work, a joyful workplace, and an organization that can continuously deliver high performance beyond open communication with supervisors,” emphasizing, “To achieve this, we must precisely connect our mission, vision, and goals and have persistence in execution.”
