Ministry of Employment and Labor, Busan City, Korea Racing Authority, Dongguk CM, and 39 Public-Private Organizations Participate
As part of the roadmap to reduce major accidents, the Busan Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group, launched to prevent fatal accidents in Busan, took time to reflect on the year 2023.
The Busan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Head: Gong Heung-du) held the ‘2023 Busan Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group Day’ on the 7th at Hotel Nongshim in Dongnae-gu, Busan, together with 39 public and private organizations including the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Busan City, Korea Racing Authority, and Dongguk CM.
Starting with the opening declaration by Gong Heung-du, Head of the Busan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the event was filled with an awards ceremony recognizing contributors to the spread of safety culture, a review of the 2023 activities of the Busan Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group, and a time to explore future development directions.
At the awards ceremony, Yang Seong-bong, Director of the Management Education Center at the Busan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, Dongguk CM, and the GS Construction Eco Delta City 20BL site received the Busan City Safety Culture Grand Prize. Choi Mi-ri, Officer of the Livelihood Labor Policy Division at Busan City Hall, and Hwang Young-seok, Site Manager of Hanwha Construction Deokcheon 3 District, received the Chairman’s Commendation from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
Following this, Kim Byung-hoon, Senior Officer of the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, and Seo Chan-wook, Senior Officer of Busan Port Authority, received commendations from the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Park Min-seo, Deputy General Manager of Korea South Power Busan Bitdream Headquarters, and Gangseo District Office of Busan City received commendations from the Head of the Busan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
Gong Heung-du, Head of the Busan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, said, “The year 2023 was a meaningful year as we took the first step in the roadmap to reduce major accidents under the name of the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group. Let us continue to blossom the flower of safety culture as safety subjects?employers, workers, and all of us.”
