Busan Port Authority Conducts Special Inspections of Construction Sites for Winter and Provides Cold Weather Gear to Workers

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) conducted a special safety inspection and provided cold-weather gear to workers at the Busan New Port construction site on the 6th to prevent major accidents during the winter season.

Busan Port Authority conducted special inspections of construction sites in preparation for the winter season and provided workers with cold-weather gear.

The main inspection items included ▲checking safety hazards in preparation for winter ▲appropriateness of quality control and testing/inspection during winter ▲patrol and action plans for accident prevention facilities ▲operation of construction equipment entry and work permit systems.

The inspection results showed that each site is paying special attention to safety and quality management to prevent major accidents during winter and is actively working to prevent safety accidents.

Additionally, cold-weather gear was provided to prevent cold-related illnesses among construction workers at the winter construction sites.

BPA President Kang Jun-seok instructed, “We will thoroughly ensure the prevention of safety accidents at the construction sites for the development of Busan New Port by promoting special safety inspections in preparation for winter,” and encouraged, “We hope to improve the health and safety of construction workers through the provision of cold-weather gear.”
