SK C&C Strengthens AI and Cloud... 2024 Organizational Restructuring and Executive Appointments

On the 7th, SK C&C announced that it has carried out an organizational restructuring and executive appointments focused on strengthening the core competitiveness of digital ITS (IT Services) and securing a leading position in new growth businesses such as generative artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, digital factory, and digital ESG (environment, social, governance), as well as expanding global business.


First, the sales and project execution organizations were organized into dedicated teams by customer and business to enhance the competitiveness of the digital ITS business. To enable proactive market response and close customer support, dedicated account organizations were assigned to each business division.


To improve customer IT service quality and technical competitiveness, the 'Application Service Division' was newly established, strengthening IT service execution functions.


For technology and platform-related organizations applied across all industrial sectors such as generative AI, cloud, digital ESG, and ERP, dedicated teams were organized to enhance functional expertise and closely support business divisions.


To expand global business, the 'Digital Factory Business Unit' was established to carry out domestic and overseas digital factory projects, along with the creation of a 'Global Business Unit' to lead independent digital ITS business execution and performance creation in overseas subsidiaries in the US, Europe, China, and other regions.


The existing R&D-centered Digital Tech Center was reorganized into the DX Division to discover new digital business models and promote digital innovation projects.


The company plans to solidify its position as a leader in new tech-based digital growth businesses such as generative AI, digital ESG, digital healthcare, and Web3.


Meanwhile, in the executive appointments, 11 new executives were appointed, including ▲Hwang Min-jeong as Head of Strategy Business Development Group 1 ▲Lee Jin-woo as Head of Manufacturing Business Development Group ▲Kim Hyo-wook as Head of Energy Business Group ▲Ahn Sung-jin as Head of ICT Biz. Business Group ▲Baek Seok-heum as Head of Finance/Strategy Services Group 2 ▲Kim Yong-shin as Head of Hybrid Cloud Group 1 ▲Son Young-yoon as Head of DX Tech. Group ▲Bang Soo-in as Head of Digital ESG Group ▲Han Se-hyun in charge of Quality Innovation ▲Oh Jae-won in charge of PMO ▲Park Jong-o in charge of Leadership/Culture.
