80% of Disabled Workers Are Severely Disabled
Recognized for Maintaining High Long-Term Employment Rates
Keun Heemang Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tisis, an affiliate of Taekwang Group and a certified workplace for people with disabilities, received a commendation from the Mayor of Seoul at the '2023 Excellent Companies for Employment Environment of Persons with Disabilities Awards Ceremony.'
Taekwang Group announced on the 7th that Kim Jung-hyuk, CEO of Keun Heemang, along with about 10 employees with disabilities, received the commendation at the event held at the Seoul City Hall Citizen's Hall.
Keun Heemang was recognized for its high retention rate of employees with disabilities, earning this commendation. Additionally, the company was acknowledged for its achievements in ▲creating stable jobs for people with disabilities ▲supporting self-development and healing programs ▲offering higher wages and welfare benefits compared to the industry ▲and implementing a 'joint care' system linking employees' families with welfare centers.
The award was selected through an evaluation of employment-friendly environments targeting workplaces employing people with disabilities in Seoul, as part of the 'Creating a Workplace Friendly to Persons with Disabilities Project' promoted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Disabled Employment Integrated Support Center, a private consignment agency.

Established in January 2018, Keun Heemang is a subsidiary-type certified workplace for people with disabilities under Tisis, a specialized IT services company. Among the 30 employees with disabilities, 24 are classified as severely disabled. All employees with disabilities are full-time, and those with over five years of long-term service account for 80% of the total disabled workforce.
CEO Kim said, "This is the result of Taekwang Group's ESG management activities," adding, "We will continue to create suitable jobs for people with disabilities and strive to grow together with them through on-site education and work experience."
Taekwang Group recently announced at the 'ESG Management Five-Year Plan and Joint Declaration of Management Practice' that it will concretize its efforts in three areas?▲environmental management ▲social responsibility management ▲board-centered management?over four stages going forward.
