Guro-gu will open an outdoor skating rink, a popular winter sport, for the first time under Ogumgyo Bridge at Anyangcheon on the 22nd.

The district has ended the operation of the snow sledding site that had been open for the past six years and plans to create an outdoor skating rink where children, parents, and the whole family can enjoy by investing about 580 million won of district funds.

The skating rink, covering an area of 485 pyeong, will consist of an ice rink and ice bumper cars, and will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until February 11 next year.

The ice rink is available for both children and adults, allowing up to 150 people to skate for 60 minutes per session. Admission is free, and users only need to pay a 2,000 won rental fee for skating equipment.

The ice bumper cars will be operated as a dedicated play facility for infants and children. Up to 10 people can enjoy bumper cars for 5 minutes per session, with a usage fee of 2,000 won.

Discounted groups such as national veterans, registered disabled persons, basic livelihood security recipients, legally single-parent families, low-income households, and families with multiple children will receive a 50% discount, allowing them to use the ice rink and ice bumper cars for 1,000 won.

As this is the first opening, the district is accelerating preparations. The district plans to set up a snack shop as an auxiliary facility, as well as a lounge, a storage room, a medical office, and portable restrooms.

For the convenience of residents, parking will be provided using the Anyangcheon multipurpose plaza, and parking fees will be free.

A Guro-gu official said, “We will do our best to prepare for the opening so that it can be an enjoyable winter playground for residents.”
