Gangseo-gu, Ranked 1st in Seoul and 3rd Nationwide for Local Government Competitiveness... Certified as an Excellent Institution On the morning of the 6th, Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, received a certificate of excellence for the Local Autonomy Competitiveness Index from Kim Chung-hwan, Chairman of the Korea Public Autonomy Research Institute, at the mayor's office.

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) received a certificate of excellence from the Korea Institute of Public Administration (Chairman Kim Chung-hwan) on the 6th, having been ranked 1st in Seoul and 3rd nationwide in the Comprehensive Competitiveness Index.


With this, the district has proven its top-level competitiveness nationwide by ranking first in Seoul for the third consecutive year as the most competitive city.


The '2023 Korea Local Autonomy Comprehensive Competitiveness Index (KLCI)' announced by the Korea Institute of Public Administration is an indicator analyzing the competitiveness of 226 basic local governments nationwide.


The district scored 579.5 points, far surpassing the national average (464.4) and Seoul average (481.9), demonstrating overwhelming superiority.


District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "Achieving 1st place in Seoul and 3rd nationwide in the local autonomy competitiveness evaluation and proving excellent competitiveness was possible thanks to the residents who worked hard for regional development," adding, "We will not be satisfied with this and will continue to secure sustainable growth engines in the future."
