Pukyong National University Hosts 'Gyeongsang Region Education Donation Expo'

National Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-su) recently held the 'Gyeongsang Region Education Donation Expo' organized by the Gyeongsang Region Education Donation Hub Support Center on the first floor of Dongwon Jangbogo Hall.

The event, held over two days on the 1st and 2nd, was attended by about 500 local elementary and middle school parents and students, featuring programs such as experience booths, special lectures, and discussion sessions.

The experience booths included ▲Gyeongsang Region university student education donation groups (making Christmas dreamcatchers, making shampoo without waste) ▲Ulsan Viewer Media Center (taking my own AI photos, motion tracking experience) ▲National Pukyong University ornamental fish club (P.A.R.K) (making fish keyrings, introduction to ornamental fish) ▲Busan Gyeongsang University Department of Companion Animal Health (how to interact with dogs, introduction to companion animal careers) ▲Maumhyanggi Psychological Counseling Center (MBTI, Tarot) and others.

Special lectures featured Professor Shin Jung-ho of the Biomedical Engineering Department at National Pukyong University with 'Caught it! Coronavirus, It Was Here,' and Song Ju-yeon, a teacher at Hwajin Elementary School, with 'Understanding Education Donation.'

Additionally, a performance feedback discussion was held with principals, vice principals, and teachers from six model schools participating as Gyeongsang Region Education Donation Hub model schools, including Seokpo Elementary School?the only school from the Busan area designated as a Neulbom School?Ilgwang Middle School, Geumban Elementary School, Heungmu Elementary School, Hwajin Elementary School, and Ihwa Middle School.

Pukyong National University was selected this year for the 2023 Gyeongsang Region Education Donation Hub Support Center project hosted by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. The university established a center under the Education Innovation Performance Institute and is striving to expand educational outcomes through developing various education donation programs, forming education donation councils, and hosting expos.
