Damyang-gun Operates 'Childcare Goods Sharing Market'... Reducing Burden on New Parents

On the 6th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold a 'Childbirth and Childcare Goods Sharing Market' on the 8th at the Health Promotion Room on the first floor of the Damyang-gun Health Center.

The sharing market is operated to alleviate the economic burden on families with newborns and pregnant women by receiving donations of unused childcare items.

The items at the market are prepared by selling or donating goods that children no longer use but are too valuable to throw away, or items that were purchased but never opened and kept.

The proceeds from the sale of items at the sharing market will be donated to the Childbirth Promotion Joint Fund to be used for childbirth encouragement projects such as scholarships for multi-child families and support projects for child caregivers.

Kim Dong-jin, the head of the health center, said, “We will contribute to reducing unnecessary childcare costs and promoting a culture of resource recycling. In the future, we will create various communication spaces for parents of infants and young children, like the sharing market, to foster a childbirth and child-rearing friendly environment.”
