BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery Hosts 'Bae Sanghee Solo Exhibition Opening Event'

Under the theme of Inyeon, decorated with over 30 Korean painting works until the 15th

BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 5th that it held the 'Bae Sanghee Solo Exhibition Opening Event' at the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery at its headquarters.


The opening event of Bae Sanghee's solo exhibition was attended by Bank President Ye Kyungtak, as well as Jo Youngpa, CEO of Changwon City Cultural Foundation; Jang Munseok, Director of Masan Cultural Center; and Choi Mugeol, Chairman of Happo Cultural Association, showing great interest in the exhibition.

In his greeting, artist Bae said, "This exhibition realistically expresses subjects that remain as longing around us, and I created non-figurative works using new sculptural techniques. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me until this exhibition."


In his congratulatory speech, President Ye said, "I sincerely congratulate artist Bae Sanghee on his solo exhibition and hope he becomes an artist who brightens the world with positive energy and vitality. I hope many customers and local residents visit the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery to enjoy and appreciate the artworks and have a joyful and happy time."


The Bae Sanghee solo exhibition, held under the theme "Inyeon (Connection)," runs until the 15th and features about 30 Korean painting works.


The representative work, Inyeon (因緣), won the grand prize at the 41st Korea Art Exhibition held last year.


The work Inyeon (因緣) expresses the heart of engraving true connections in life through the wooden fish (moktak) that sounds compassion in these turbulent times, awakening the dignity of life.


Artist Bae has extensive experience and awards as a recommended artist for the Gyeongsangnam-do Art Exhibition, the 3·15 Art Exhibition, the Civilization of Characters Exhibition, and the Calligraphy Competition, and continues active artistic activities in the region.


The Bae Sanghee solo exhibition at the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery is open free of charge to customers and local residents visiting the BNK Gyeongnam Bank headquarters from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.


Meanwhile, BNK Gyeongnam Bank held a total of 14 gallery rental exhibitions at the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery in the first and second halves of this year, concluding with Bae Sanghee's solo exhibition.


Operating since 2012, the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery provides free exhibition opportunities for local cultural artists and serves as a space where local residents can view various artworks.
