KHNP Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, Director Lee Seyong Implements Employee Communication

Se-yong Lee, Head of the Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, is implementing an on-site communication program that directly visits field department employees.

Head of Department Lee Seyong is conducting an on-site communication program with employees of the Hanul Headquarters.

Appointed as the 22nd Head of Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters in July, Se-yong Lee prioritizes plant safety and strives to foster a proud organizational culture. As part of this effort, he has launched an on-site communication program that has received great response.

Starting in September with a lunchbox communication day with shift workers at Unit 1, open communication with workers at each plant has been held weekly. At these meetings, Head Lee listens to over 150 opinions submitted by employees and reviews their feasibility for short- and long-term implementation. The operation of shuttle buses for shift workers’ commuting has been immediately implemented to improve the working environment.

In line with the ‘Hanultari ABC Up Project’ aimed at creating a headquarters where employees want to work, the Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters has been promoting improvements in the working environment, work-life balance, and activation of open communication within the organization. As a result, a survey conducted in November among all headquarters employees showed that job satisfaction improved by about 10% compared to the beginning of the year.

Head Se-yong Lee stated, “We will continue to implement improvements in the working environment by reflecting the diverse opinions of employees to realize the Hanul Headquarters as the most desirable workplace,” and added, “We will also maintain continuous communication with executive staff to ensure safe nuclear power plant operations.”
