Changwon Welfare Foundation Holds Ceremony to Establish and Promote ESG Management

On the 5th, the Changwon Welfare Foundation in Gyeongnam held an ‘ESG Management Proclamation Ceremony’ attended by all executives and employees, declaring their commitment to establishing and spreading ESG management.

The Changwon Welfare Foundation, a public institution funded by Changwon City and specialized in welfare, is introducing ESG management to expand the creation of sustainable welfare values in Changwon City through its role as a leading ESG promotion body.

The proclamation ceremony proceeded in the order of ▲ESG education ▲reading of the executives and employees’ declaration ▲signing of the joint pledge for practice by executives and employees. Based on the ESG management goals of (E) creating eco-friendly welfare, (S) practicing social responsibility, and (G) realizing transparent governance, the executives and employees pledged joint cooperation to actively accept and implement eight detailed tasks.

Chairman Hong Jae-sik said, “Taking this proclamation ceremony as an opportunity, in addition to leading welfare innovation, we will become the Changwon Welfare Foundation that cooperates with the local community for sustainable development and mutual growth.”

Meanwhile, the Changwon Welfare Foundation plans to share the ESG management declaration with related organizations and build consensus.
