Successful 'Autumn Concert' Evoking Nostalgia for the Excellence of Korean Music
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the Chaedongseon Chamber Orchestra (representative Kim Jeong-ho) successfully concluded the ‘Pan Classic Eolsso Autumn Concert’ held on October 18 in Dayton, Ohio, USA, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Korea-US alliance and the 120th anniversary of Korean immigration to the Americas.
The performance featured Cha’s work ‘Hometown’ and ‘Pan Classic Eolsso,’ which combines Pansori from the birthplace of Korean Seopyeonje with classical music, inspiring patriotism among the Korean community.
Singer Oh Hye-won delivered a soulful performance of ‘Sarangga,’ ‘Ssukdaemeori,’ ‘Eosachuldo,’ and the nationalist musician Chaedongseon’s ‘Hometown,’ offering the Korean audience a stage to reminisce about their homeland.
In particular, through pieces such as ‘At Boseong Tea Fields,’ ‘Delicious Cockles,’ ‘The King and the Cockle Story,’ and ‘Boseong River Arirang,’ the excellence of Korean music was showcased, receiving great love from the audience.
Additionally, Boseong green tea was gifted to the audience, contributing to the promotion of the region’s culture, arts, and specialty products.
Meanwhile, the ‘Pan Classic Eolsso’ performance was conducted as part of the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service’s international exchange project and was presented through the ‘Jeonnam Cultural Foundation Performing Arts Resident Group Revitalization Support Project.’ It is a work that has been recognized for its excellence through many domestic performances.
