Best Award in the Default Option Category for Retirement Pension
Samsung Securities received the Grand Prize in the Default Option category for retirement pensions at the ‘2023 Asia Capital Investment Awards.’
Samsung Securities is recognized for changing the landscape of retirement pension fee structures by launching ‘Direct IRP,’ the first in Korea to declare zero fees for IRP accounts. They also introduced the ‘3-Minute Pension,’ which requires no paperwork or mailing, and opened ‘Pension S-Talk,’ a pension management service using KakaoTalk, pioneering paperless services early on.
Samsung Securities established pension centers in three key locations?Seoul, Suwon, and Daegu?staffed with personnel having over 10 years of PB experience, a first in the industry. These pension centers provide expert consultations on pensions, resolving the difficulties faced by subscribers who were unsure how to manage their pensions, setting a new standard for pension counseling. The Samsung Securities Pension Centers also support briefing sessions for corporations that have introduced retirement pensions, helping both corporations and employees better understand retirement pensions. Approximately 300 briefing sessions were held this year alone.
Additionally, Samsung Securities Pension Centers offer a differentiated ‘DC Welcome Call’ to all new DC subscribers. The DC Welcome Call is a service that provides direct phone guidance on how to manage accumulated funds and use the system.
Samsung Securities’ default option products also show excellent returns. In May, during the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s first disclosure of default option products, Samsung Securities’ default option products ranked first in 3-month returns in the ultra-low risk and low-risk categories. In the retirement pension operator disclosure returns, Samsung Securities ranked first among all operators for non-principal-guaranteed products on a one-year basis in the second quarter of this year, and secured first place in the securities industry in the third quarter.
Samsung Securities’ pension content is also customer-friendly. Amid the recent shift to mobile-centered content, they produce pension content through various media such as card news, email, videos, and printed materials for customers who find mobile inconvenient. Moreover, through data analysis, they select and send customized pension content tailored to each customer.
The topics go beyond pension operators, aiming to become a partner for retirement by producing content covering overall retirement asset management, including subscribers’ National Pension, Housing Pension, and more.
