ITCEN is showing strong performance. As stocks related to token securities issuance (STO) surged simultaneously, interest is spreading to ITCEN as well. ITCEN is the main contractor for the 'Hana Securities Token Securities (STO) System Construction Project.' The project, which began on the 13th of last month, is the first and largest token securities system construction project ordered in Korea, covering the entire STO system. It focuses on building a token securities issuance and distribution platform based on the financial authorities' plan to organize the regulatory framework for token securities. In June, ITCEN also signed a business agreement to promote the STO project with Saudi real estate companies AI Sharif Group Holding and Imperial Holding LLC, marking a first in Korea.
As of 2:43 PM on the 4th, ITCEN is trading at 5,390 KRW, up 16.04% from the previous day.
Recently, ITCEN announced that its subsidiary, Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset, received the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency Award for its proprietary raw material fractional investment service 'Sengold,' which was selected as the Best Product at the 1st 2023 KMETA Global Digital Transcendence Awards.
The 'KMETA Global Digital Transcendence Awards' is a system that selects and awards talents and products that have achieved excellent results by researching and developing transcendental technologies that replace foreign technologies with domestic ones. The event is hosted by the Korea SW·ICT Federation and supported by public sectors including the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset was highly evaluated for improving transparency and convenience in the precious metals market, where voice transactions are active, through digitalization. 'Sengold,' operated by Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset, is an innovative service that allows fractional investment in expensive precious metals in units of 1/100g, attracting attention.
ITCEN is strengthening its STO business capabilities based on Sengold. Sengold is a service based on blockchain technology independently developed by Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset, enabling fractional investment in physical assets ranging from precious metals such as gold, silver, and palladium to industrial metals like copper and nickel. It allows small investments starting from 1,000 KRW and also supports investments using various memberships, credit card points, or gift certificates.
Since its launch in March 2020, Sengold has maintained steady growth with over 1 million cumulative users and a total transaction amount exceeding 800 billion KRW, based on stability and convenience.
On the 1st (local time), the most traded contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the February contract for next year, closed at $2,089.70 per ounce, up 1.57% from the previous trading day. This was higher than the previous record closing price of $2,069.40 on August 6, 2020.
