Kang Sin-suk, CEO of Sh Suhyup Bank, "We will demonstrate capabilities comparable to commercial banks"

Suhyup Bank 7th Anniversary Launch Ceremony

Kang Sin-suk, CEO of Sh Suhyup Bank, "We will demonstrate capabilities comparable to commercial banks" Kang Sin-sook, CEO of Sh Suhyup Bank, is speaking at the 7th anniversary event held on the 1st at the Suhyup Bank headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Kang Shin-sook, CEO of Sh Suhyup Bank, stated, "We will demonstrate capabilities in the market that are by no means inferior to those of commercial banks."

At the '7th Anniversary Ceremony of Suhyup Bank' held on the 1st at the headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul, CEO Kang said, "Suhyup Bank will continue to develop as a 100-year bank that grows together with all customers, including fishermen."

Suhyup Bank was newly launched on December 1, 2016, after separating from the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, and since CEO Kang, the first female CEO from within the organization, took office last year, it has continued to grow as a mid-sized bank with total assets exceeding 70 trillion won. In particular, this year, it recorded a record high net profit of 310 billion won as of the end of October.

CEO Kang presented three keywords for the direction Suhyup Bank should take: "in a manner befitting Suhyup Bank," "more innovatively," and "beyond Suhyup Bank." He said, "Going forward, we will strengthen the role of Suhyup Bank as a revenue center for the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, which is the original role of a cooperative bank, while establishing our identity as the only domestic bank specializing in marine and fisheries finance."

Furthermore, CEO Kang emphasized, "If there are still outdated practices within the organization, we will definitely identify and eliminate them, and through changes and innovations in work processes, personnel, and organizational culture, we will be reborn as a new Suhyup Bank."
