Dongtan City Hospital Receives Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation at Sharing Merit Award Ceremony

Dongtan City Hospital (Director Shin Jae-heung) announced that it received the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation at the '2023 Sharing Merit Award Ceremony' held at Ibis Ambassador Suwon on November 22.

The 'Sharing Merit Award Ceremony,' hosted by the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest (Fruit of Love), is an event that expresses gratitude to individuals, companies, and organizations who have practiced neighborly love through active sharing and volunteer activities, and encourages continuous interest and participation in neighborly love.

Marking its 13th anniversary this year, Dongtan City Hospital has been sponsoring free flu vaccinations for North Korean defectors in the district in cooperation with Hwaseong Dongtan Police Station, and has also been implementing a support project for knee artificial joint surgeries for elderly people in vulnerable groups. Recently, the hospital participated again in the kimchi sharing event held last year, joined the 'Suhyangmi 1004 Donation Challenge' for low-income families in Hwaseong City, and has been steadily practicing warm community sharing by signing business agreements with various institutions including the Catholic Suwon Diocese Social Evangelization Bureau to address medical blind spots.
