'Hope 2024 Nanum Campaign' Embarks on a Two-Month Grand Journey!

December 1 to January 31 Next Year, 10.86 Billion Won Fundraising Goal for Neighbor Helping Campaign

Launch Ceremony at Songsanghyeon Square at 2 PM on the 1st, with About 50 Attendees Including Mayor, City Council Chair, and Media Representatives

Busan City will hold the 'Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign Launch Ceremony' at Songsanghyeon Square starting from 3 PM on the 1st.

The 'Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign' is a neighbor-helping campaign running for two months from December 1 to January 31 of next year, with the slogan “Make myself valuable through donation, make Busan valuable through donation,” aiming to raise 10.86 billion KRW.

Hosted by the Busan Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Choi Geumsik), the launch ceremony will be attended by about 50 people including the Mayor of Busan, the Chairperson of the City Council, the Superintendent of Busan Education Office, and executives from media companies. The event will proceed in the order of opening, congratulatory speeches, DSR donation delivery, introduction of Busan Bank’s 'Tangible Donation Platform,' launch declaration (lighting of the temperature tower), and commemorative photo session.

Attendees at the launch ceremony will include Mayor Park Hyung-jun, City Council Chairperson Ahn Seong-min, Superintendent Ha Yoon-su, Jin-gu District Mayor Kim Young-wook, KBS Busan Broadcasting Headquarters Director Yang Hong-seon, KNN President Lee Oh-sang, International Newspaper President Kang Nam-hoon, and BNK Busan Bank President Bang Sung-bin.

In particular, the 'Love Temperature Tower,' which will be installed and operated alongside the campaign launch ceremony, symbolizes the warmth toward our neighbors and can be seen at Songsanghyeon Square until January 31 of next year.

The temperature tower rises by 1 degree each time 108.6 million KRW is raised, reaching 100 degrees of sharing temperature when 10.86 billion KRW is collected. The funds raised will be used to support neighbors in the Busan area who have become more vulnerable due to the economic crisis.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “Our city will carefully weave a welfare net so that those who are struggling and in difficulty are not neglected or suffer, and will take the lead in fostering a culture of sharing,” adding, “We ask for the warm interest of citizens so that we can gather the warm hearts of Busan citizens and achieve a sharing temperature of 100 degrees.”

During the campaign period, donations can be easily made by contacting the Busan Community Chest of Korea, or through the Love Fruit donation boxes placed at nearby district and neighborhood community centers, media donation reception desks, or via ARS (one-time 3,000 KRW donation).
