Soil Characteristics and Management, Training on the Use of Agricultural Product Processing Support Center
On the 28th, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, began the '2024 New Year Practical Education for Farmers' starting in Buk-myeon, followed by Seo-myeon on the 29th, and Ulleung-eup on the 30th, targeting a total of about 600 farmers.
The New Year Practical Education for Farmers, held annually to wrap up the year's farming and prepare for the next year's farming, has served as a platform to disseminate newly researched and developed technologies and to share agricultural techniques with local farmers.
This year's education covered practical skills necessary for farming life, including soil characteristics and management education, and training on the use of the Agricultural Products Processing Support Center.
In particular, by delivering content related to the use of the Agricultural Products Processing Support Center, it helped farmers better understand equipment usage. During the soil characteristics and management education, the program enhanced satisfaction by explaining the comparison between the soil characteristics of Ulleung-gun and those of the mainland.
Farmers who attended the education said, "It seems it will be very helpful to use the Agricultural Products Processing Center in the future," and "The lecture content tailored to the conditions of our Ulleung-gun, along with the explanations, made it easy to understand and enjoyable to listen to."
Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, said, "I appreciate the passion of those who have worked hard to finish this year's difficult farming and actively participated in this educational event. I hope this education provides an opportunity to gain information on new agricultural technologies and to plan the farming schedule for the year."
