Dong-Eui Institute of Technology signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with Seomyeon Medical Street (SMS) Medical Tourism Council on the 27th to foster local industry development.
At the signing ceremony, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology's Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Ihwa Seok, Deputy Manager Kim Wonsik, Professor Kang Taekyung of the Smart Wellness Medical Beauty Department, Seomyeon Medical Street Medical Tourism Council Chairman Hong Hunpyo, Secretary Lee Yunjin, and Lineup Dental Marketing Team Leader Choi Jaewoong attended.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲support for field training and employment of outstanding students in health and related departments (fields) ▲cooperation in commissioned education for industries ▲formation of industry-academic consultative bodies ▲sharing of technical information and research data ▲joint participation in educational projects.
The Seomyeon Medical Street (SMS) Medical Tourism Council develops medical tourism content tailored to Busan's characteristics, such as K-Beauty product development and video production, shopping linked with medical services, culture, content tours, and expansion of global networks.
It is also preparing to attract one million foreign patients through fostering region-specific medical technologies and customized medical tourism programs by country.
Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Ihwa Seok of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology said, “Through this agreement, students in the health field and medical beauty sector will be able to gain experience at various local hospitals, and we will strive to nurture creative and excellent talents so that this can be linked to employment.”
