ClearShield Develops 'Integrated Blind Shooting Glasses' to Assist Shooting Athletes

ClearShield, a sports eyewear specialist custom manufacturer led by CEO Dong-yong Lee, announced the production of ‘Integrated Blind Shooting Glasses’ made with durable frames and premium lenses.

These shooting glasses were designed after extensive discussions between experts and athletes to ensure effective performance even in harsh competition environments.

The glasses feature an adjustable design that fits anyone’s facial shape comfortably and guarantee a clearer field of vision.

CEO Dong-yong Lee of ClearShield has been operating an optical store for over 25 years, helping people see the world clearly through lenses, and custom-making prescription glasses for sports such as cycling and diving.

ClearShield, selected for the Masan University Sports Industry Preliminary Startup Support Project, listened to the needs and complaints of shooting athletes active domestically and internationally, mainly in the Changwon area, and after repeated modifications and improvements, successfully completed shooting bulletproof lenses after 13 years.

Until now, domestic shooting athletes had to use imported shooting glasses because there were no companies making them locally. Imported glasses, designed based on Western standards, were inevitably uncomfortable, tended to be too front-heavy, causing imbalance in weight distribution, which became one of the factors disrupting concentration.

In response, ClearShield produced lightweight and easy-to-use integrated blind shooting glasses and filed for intellectual property rights last October.

CEO Dong-yong Lee of ClearShield stated, “We plan to expand our scope into various sports and industrial fields centered on bulletproof lenses,” adding, “We aim to make ClearShield known not only in Changwon but throughout South Korea and grow into a globally recognized specialty lens company.”

Meanwhile, this project is being implemented with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
