GeneOne Life Science announced on the 29th that it won the Grand Prize for the "Most Promising Vaccine Sector in South Korea" at the Asia-Pacific Vaccine Excellence Award (AVEA) ceremony, held as part of the "5th Annual World Vaccine Asia Congress 2023" at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center in Singapore.
The Asia-Pacific Vaccine Excellence Award (AVEA) was established to recognize outstanding achievements and excellence in various vaccine pharmaceutical-related latest technological developments, including vaccine research and development, raw material production, and vaccine supply chain improvements within the Asia-Pacific vaccine community.
This year, the award was given to the top leaders in the Asia-Pacific vaccine industry who demonstrated the latest technologies and best practices in epidemic vaccine R&D and manufacturing, in response to the need for new vaccine development following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company stated, "Research Director Kim Won-il attended as the award recipient and, through panel discussions and presentations at the '5th Annual World Vaccine Asia Congress 2023,' explained our company's plasmid DNA vaccine R&D achievements and the latest R&D trends based on mRNA and circular RNA platforms, as well as introduced the excellence of our subsidiary VGXI's plasmid DNA production capabilities."
