Udeumji Farm continued its high growth in both scale and profitability even in the off-season third quarter.
According to Udeumji Farm, third-quarter sales reached 11.8 billion KRW, a 66.8% increase compared to 7.1 billion KRW in the same period last year, and cumulative sales amounted to 43 billion KRW, marking significant growth nearly reaching last year's total sales of 44.9 billion KRW.
Cumulative operating profit up to the third quarter also showed an upward trend, soaring by more than 263% to 1.2 billion KRW compared to 330 million KRW in the same period last year.
This rapid performance achievement is attributed to the expansion of supply volume in the domestic stevia tomato market with flagship products such as the 'Tomango' brand, along with the steady advancement of smart farm technology capabilities.
Udeumji Farm, which has recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 59% in the past three years, is expected to make a quantum leap through the operation of Korea's first European-style vegetable smart farm next year, following this year, and global business expansion to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and other countries via its subsidiary Udeumji E&C established on the 20th.
The European-style new smart farm currently being developed by Udeumji Farm is the largest among semi-enclosed greenhouse facilities in Korea, and upon completion, it will enable mass production of leafy and fruit vegetables, sufficiently meeting supply demands in the rapidly growing domestic salad market, which is expanding to the scale of 10 trillion KRW.
Udeumji Farm stated, "We are creating future growth businesses through leading entry into the Tomango market, smart farm facility construction, and expansion of the European vegetable business," emphasizing, "By 2030, we will grow into a global K-smart farm representative company and a unicorn company valued at 1 trillion KRW."
