NCSoft is teaming up with Sony Interactive Entertainment, the manufacturer of the console game system 'PlayStation,' to enter the console market.
NCSoft announced on the 29th that it has signed a strategic partnership for global business cooperation with Sony Interactive Entertainment (hereinafter SIE).
The CEOs of both companies, CEO Kim Taek-jin and CEO Jim Ryan, met and signed the partnership agreement.
NCSoft and SIE will collaborate on various global businesses, including the mobile sector, through this partnership.
They are exploring various ways to create business synergy by combining NCSoft's global core IP and technological capabilities with SIE's competitiveness as a global entertainment leader.
NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin said, "This global partnership with SIE is the beginning of creating various synergies by combining the core competencies, technologies, and expertise of both companies," adding, "We will provide new and enjoyable experiences to many users beyond genres and regions."
SIE CEO Jim Ryan stated, "Through this partnership, we will strengthen SIE's strategy to expand the PlayStation base beyond consoles and reach more customers," and added, "NCSoft and SIE share a vision to deliver high-quality, impactful entertainment experiences to users worldwide. We look forward to the collaboration between the two companies to further expand the boundaries of gaming."
