CCS (CEO Jeong Pyeong-yeong, Kim Young-woo), which announced the promotion of a new business, stated its position on rumors and gossip related to the room-temperature superconductor market on the 28th. The company appointed new management, including Professor Kwon Young-wan and researcher Kim Ji-hoon, related to the development of room-temperature superconductors at the recent extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
CCS stated, “We issued this statement to uphold the honor of the company seeking growth momentum through new business, as well as the honor of Professor Kwon Young-wan and researcher Kim Ji-hoon, who, as pure scientists, aim to contribute to global technological advancement and elevate the status of the Republic of Korea.”
Regarding claims that the LK99 material patent is owned by a specific research institute, CCS explained, “LK99 is not divided into material patents and manufacturing patents, and the patent registration examination is currently underway at the Korean Intellectual Property Office. On September 25, the Patent Office sent a notice of fact to Party 1 regarding information provision, stating that the qualification to apply is recognized only with the agreement of all inventors of LK99. Through this, we confirmed that the claim that the LK99 material patent is owned by a specific research institute is not true.”
CCS also emphasized that rumors about the two research teams leaking related technology overseas or filing patents independently during this process are completely false.
A company official said, “Our company plans to develop new business as a focal point by bringing in two scientists who will lead the era as management, creating new growth engines. We are aware that malicious and provocative rumors are being formed, and for the sake of honor, we are considering strong legal actions against individuals or groups who create such actions and rumors, including spreading false information and defamation.”
He added, “Together with the new management and the two research teams, we will prepare media and disclosure announcements as soon as internal policies and schedules for the new business are established to resolve such market commotion and rumors.”
Meanwhile, CCS has recently emerged as a leading stock related to room-temperature superconductors, attracting public attention and becoming embroiled in numerous rumors.
